LATER GATOR KIDS CONSIGNMENT SALE VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT
By signing up for a volunteer shift, you agree to the following:
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS - All volunteers must be 16 or older. Due to safety/insurance reasons, children, including infants, even if worn, are NOT permitted to be with you during your volunteer shift. Volunteers represent Later Gator Sales during each sale. We expect all volunteers to be courteous & helpful to our shoppers. Because Later Gator Sales offers volunteer rewards, we ask you to treat your volunteer hours the same as you would any other paying position.
VOLUNTEER REWARDS - Our volunteers are rewarded by earning extra money on consigned items as well as passes to our pre-sale & half price sales. The more you volunteer, the more you earn and the earlier you can shop during our pre-sale & half price sale. ● NINE PLUS HOUR VOLUNTEERS (3 or more three-hour shifts): Receive 75% of your sales. Earliest access to the pre-sale. Early access to the half-price sale. ● SIX HOUR VOLUNTEERS (2 three-hour shifts): Receive 70% of your sales. Early access to the pre-sale. Early access to the half-price sale. ● THREE HOUR VOLUNTEERS (1 three-hour shift): Receive 65% of your sales. Early access to the pre-sale. Early access to the half-price sale. ● NON-SELLING VOLUNTEERS will enjoy the same access to the pre-sale & half price sale as our selling volunteers based on the number of volunteer hours. NEW SPRING 2019: Non-selling volunteers wanting to work toward an early shopping pass must fulfill their shifts prior to the start of the pre-sale.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS – Volunteers will help with a variety of jobs including setting up the sales floor, helping consignors check-in their items, working the check-out stations at the sale, cleaning up after the sale, and help with barcode scanning.
PLEASE BE ON TIME – Volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for your shift. This will allow training and overlap with volunteers from the previous shift. Volunteers who are repeatedly late may be denied volunteer registration at future Later Gator Sales events.
CANCELLATIONS – Please consider your commitment carefully and make sure you are available before you sign up to volunteer. If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer commitment you must CONTACT US no later than one week before the consignor drop off day. If you need to cancel after this date, you may find a replacement for your shift with no penalty; however, you must CONTACT US with this change. We strongly encourage you to have a "back up" volunteer in the event that you have a last minute situation arise, like a sick child. You can have a family member or friend willing to be on "standby" for you, and work your scheduled shift so you don't lose your volunteer benefits. If you do not find a replacement for your volunteer shift it will be treated as a “no show”.
VOLUNTEER SHIFT NO-SHOWS - Selling-Volunteers who fail to show up for any scheduled shift will have their consignor percentage dropped to 50% and will not be eligible to volunteer for the following sale. Non-Selling Volunteers will not be eligible to volunteer for the following sale. Repeat violations could result in a permanent ban from volunteering at Later Gator Kids Consignment Sales events.
USING A VOLUNTEER PRE-SALE PASS & FAILING TO WORK YOUR SCHEDULED SHIFT – Volunteers who use their volunteer pass and then fail to work their scheduled shift(s), will have their selling percentage dropped to 25% and will not be eligible to volunteer for the following sale. Non-Selling Volunteers will not be eligible to volunteer for the following sale. Repeat violations could result in a permanent ban from volunteering at Later Gator Kids Consignment Sales events.
EMERGENCY SCHEDULING SITUATIONS – In the event of an emergency once the sale begins, you MUST CALL OR TEXT our emergency volunteer phone number (provided to you in personal communication from sale coordinators) to let us know that you are not able to volunteer.
